A Day in New Hampshire

July 3, 2013

Today we traveled from Vermont to New Hampshire. When we got there, we checked into the hotel, and then we went to Dale and Sandy's friends house - Bob and Sandy. They live right on the lake! They took us on a ride in their boat and we swam in the little beach they have by the dock. The boat ride was very fun and everyone loved it!  Bob and Sandy made us a wonderful dinner before our concert.  Afterwards, we had a concert at 7:00 at the Evangelical Baptist Church in Laconia, NH.

Tour Day!

July 2, 2013

Today was our free day. We started our day with a yummy breakfast at the hotel. Then, we went to the Bennington Battle Monument. It is 306 feet tall and you can see 3 states from 206 feet. The Battle of Bennington was one of the Revolutionary War battles that took place in Vermont. The view from the top was beautiful!

As we were touring the Old First Church, the people in charge of the tour, found out that we were musicians, and asked us if we would play for them and the tourists. Of course, we said yes, and got our instruments! The sound was beautiful in that old church, and we were accompanied by the organist on the old pipe organ. What a wonderful surprise God gave us!

We spent the rest of the day hiking 2.3 miles, through the mountains, to the Lye Brook Waterfall. Once we got to the falls, we were amazed at God's creation, the beauty, and the height. The water was so powerful and loud that it was hard to talk to each other unless you were really close. Tomorrow, we will be heading to New Hampshire!

Our First Concert in Vermont!

July 1, 2013

Today was our first concert in Vermont. We left Gaines this morning at 7:00 and got to Vermont at 1:30. The concert was at a retirement village called Emeritus. The residents really enjoyed it and we were able to bless them with our patriotic concert. After the concert, we went out for dinner and ice cream, of course. Check out our pictures from The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon yesterday!

Gaines and Galeton Concerts

June 30, 2013

Today we had two concerts. Our first concert was at Pine Creek UM Church for the worship service at 10:30. We were able to share Christ through our music. Afterwards, they were very nice, and fed us lunch, which was also a goodbye party for the pastor, because today was his last worship service. After the delicious lunch, we went to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Emily, Melissa, and Teressa hiked the whole Turkey Trail. It was very beautiful. It's fun to see what God has created! Next, we had an evening concert at First Baptist Church in Galeton, PA at 6:30. Both churches blessed us with a wonderful love offering.

We will have concerts in Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. We will be playing in a variety of churches, maybe a nursing home, and even a parade! A more detailed itinerary will be coming in the future. We are very excited to travel into a new area of the country to meet new people and share the love of music and Christ with everyone we meet. We will be posting updates along the way so stay tuned!
