Happy 4th from Maine!

July 4,2013

We made it to Jackman, Maine after about a 4 hour drive. We were welcomed by Pastor Deke and his family. We are now staying in " the barn." In the afternoon, The Herald Brass was in The July 4th Parade, riding on a float. We were well received  by the towns people and they really enjoyed it. After the parade and a delicious dinner, we went back to the park and they did a concert in the park which led up to the fireworks.

A Day in New Hampshire

July 3, 2013

Today we traveled from Vermont to New Hampshire. When we got there, we checked into the hotel, and then we went to Dale and Sandy's friends house - Bob and Sandy. They live right on the lake! They took us on a ride in their boat and we swam in the little beach they have by the dock. The boat ride was very fun and everyone loved it!  Bob and Sandy made us a wonderful dinner before our concert.  Afterwards, we had a concert at 7:00 at the Evangelical Baptist Church in Laconia, NH.

Tour Day!

July 2, 2013

Today was our free day. We started our day with a yummy breakfast at the hotel. Then, we went to the Bennington Battle Monument. It is 306 feet tall and you can see 3 states from 206 feet. The Battle of Bennington was one of the Revolutionary War battles that took place in Vermont. The view from the top was beautiful!

As we were touring the Old First Church, the people in charge of the tour, found out that we were musicians, and asked us if we would play for them and the tourists. Of course, we said yes, and got our instruments! The sound was beautiful in that old church, and we were accompanied by the organist on the old pipe organ. What a wonderful surprise God gave us!

We spent the rest of the day hiking 2.3 miles, through the mountains, to the Lye Brook Waterfall. Once we got to the falls, we were amazed at God's creation, the beauty, and the height. The water was so powerful and loud that it was hard to talk to each other unless you were really close. Tomorrow, we will be heading to New Hampshire!
