July 5, 2013 Jackman, ME

Today we found ourselves with some rest or relaxing time as yesterday was very busy with the parade and the evening concerts leading to the fireworks.  We visited the maple sugar farm that Pastor Sawyer and his family are involved in.  He is the pastor at the Fellowship C&MA church in Jackman.  This was a great tour and we learned a lot about maple sugar & syrup production.  This business is used to help fund the family, the church and missionaries etc.  We also traveled south of Jackman once again and visited the Moxie Falls.  these were once again some amazing falls.  See pics below.  We had, for most of us, out first taste of moose steaks.  These were delicious!  That was our dinner, grilled moose steaks.  Our evening concert took us to the Fellowship C&MA church where we provided the worship service.  God was definitely there and families enjoyed and were touched by the Spirit.  God has been gracious on this trip.  He has carried us through tiredness and kept us safe.  God has used us to impact churches in these various states we have traveled to and in particular He has impacted Jackman (a Town of 800) in direct ways and in ways that we don't know of  yet.  People in the community have heard His music.  Continue to pray for the town as there is much darkness in the area known as Moose River Valley.    More will follow throughout the weekend.

Happy 4th from Maine!

July 4,2013

We made it to Jackman, Maine after about a 4 hour drive. We were welcomed by Pastor Deke and his family. We are now staying in " the barn." In the afternoon, The Herald Brass was in The July 4th Parade, riding on a float. We were well received  by the towns people and they really enjoyed it. After the parade and a delicious dinner, we went back to the park and they did a concert in the park which led up to the fireworks.
